Is it really just week 3??

Last week we studied up and reviewed our skills of placing positive, negative and fractional numbers on a number line. Some of my classes were even lucky enough to try to sort themselves into number order ... and we are talking pretty small and close decimals. This week we continue with our review of operations for decimals (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing).

We made it through our first week

Wow! It has been a pretty full week with all of our new procedures (some we will continue to practice as we move through the year) and what is to be expected of both my students and what my students expect of me. We had a great week of learning about each other and hopefully meeting some new friends. My highlights of this week were ... the snowball fight ... my students laughing at me for my really LAME joke ... and my first piece of artwork given to me by a student. What a great and exciting...

Congrats on a great FIRST day!

Our first day went great! A very exciting day of discussing expectations and reviewing the syllabus. Of course the more interesting part was meeting all of my new students and getting to know what things they like to do. More of this to come this week.
